Cyclical Existence: World of Samsara

Samsara, 2021. Mixed media collage, 9"x 9".

"All realms, up to the realm

of Brahma, are subject to rebirth."

These multitudes of beings, in an endless,

beginningless cycle, helplessly

dissolve when Brahma's night comes

and emerge once more at dawn."

-Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, translated by Stephen Mitchell

Existential Rat Race

Samsara is the cyclical existence we all are subject to, not just us beings on earth, but of all existence in the stars, the galaxies and even other spectrums of time-space.

In life and death is a repeating pattern that makes up us all, involves everything and rejects none. It is the expression of existence, survival and submission. It is beautiful and horrific.

Samsara is the the current we cannot resist, born into it, most of us never catch drift. Some reach for the banks, something to hold on to, but the wisest reaction is to enjoy the view.

Even after celestial precessions and the rise and fall of gods, the eternal clock of samsara will continue its infinite cycle. We are witness to it all, only partially blind.
