Worn Knife Still-life
In memoriam of the people who are no longer with us, the objects we are left with become relics. Sometimes the common objects used in day to day life become a powerful symbol of their former owners. The use and wear has character, and the ordinary objects become valuable tethers to another time.

This pocket knife lived a long life with a man who used it to the point of dullness, and who re-sharped it over the years. What was once a curved blade has changed to form to an acute point, sharpened so many times that it's use shows millimeters in difference. The patina of the old steel is highlighted by the honed and razor sharp edge.
