Centennial park is home to one of my favorite places in Nashville. A true to scale Parthenon replica rests in the center of the park, a symbol of western thought and design.

These images were captured on a Friday afternoon, during an unusually warm winter day in February. The park was vibrating with activity, the lawn dappled with people enjoying the weather. It's rejuvenating to see a community gather in a public space on their time off, a place of leisure that creates mutual peace and harmony.
The steps of the Parthenon become a haven for friends and families, like the city squares of major cosmopolitan city, it is a place to be present and in the moment and appreciate the simpler pleasures like community. Thanks to all my fellow Nashvillians!
