Mixed Media Collage Series
In an attempt to combine differing cultures and histories into a new form of shared or global culture, these collages juxtapose imagery that explores the progress of mankind. While we all celebrate the differences in who we are and where we're from, there is often a loss in a greater identity when we divide and categorize our populations. We are all citizens of Earth and are gifted with one shared Reality. This collage series is an exercise in representing our universal and globalized society and how we are ultimately related in our shared and separate sub-realities.
ADAPTATIONS OF HUMANITY
On the spectrum of human history, there has been many improvements in manpower and abilities. As we progress technologically, it allows us to progress in other means such as spiritually, socially and culturally. New tools and sources of energy become conduits to other discoveries and potential improvements in our lives.
The power that the human hand has, has created new worlds of thought and impression. From humble beginnings leaving our marks of the cave, to changing our environment in order to facilitate prosperity for mankind, and new technologies and energy that generate new forms of impressions on our world. We have the ability to leave a mark and change our potential. Growth follows new insight, and as the human mind attempts to push the limits of our impact, it leads to new avenues of growth that can be exponential.
