Bucolic Digital Photographs
On a chilly November morning I took my Ford Ranger and my dog to the western hills of the greater Nashville area. Nestled between a wildlife reservation and small towns and settlements with aged and deteriorating structures, the fog rose to expose radiant sunlight on the timid morning.
It's important for me to get out of the immediate activity of society, connect with nature and the land. Percy Priest Park and Radnor Lake are satisfying areas to go hiking, but the isolation that comes from empty highways and rolling hills of the countryside is equally healing.
Having a truck makes my presence less conspicuous, and the curve of the road almost feels settled and welcoming. Some shops are closed, other houses for sale, but the air feels alive even in the resort locations of the woods.
