Fractal Study 2- Digital Photograph

Fractal Study in Fog, 2016. Digital photograph. Nashville, TN.

-Fractal- term developed by mathematician Mandelbrot, who notices certain repeating properties found in nature. Fractal patterns seem to possess a "self-similarity" quality that repeats indefinitely when magnified.

Some examples of fractals are in the relations that branches grow on trees and plants, in clouds, in the formations of rivers and coasts, the formations of stone and of mountains, the nervous system, veins and artery systems, in patterns that electricity expand, in animal shells and horns just to give a few examples! Fractal formations are like mathematical expressions for microcosms.
